ABOUT LUTON

Luton is situated approximately 30 miles north of London, in the county of Bedfordshire, which is bordered, by the counties of Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, and Northamptonshire. The Town offers a varied mix of business, and leisure facilities catering for all cultures. Although Luton is a highly commercial area offering a large number of business opportunities because of it's open aspect residents and visitors are never fare away for the countryside.

COMMUTING

Luton's geographical location makes it an ideal place for the commuter. The area has an extensive road, rail, bus and air network to the rest of the UK. The 'Thameslink' rail service offers frequent connections to St. Albans, London, Brighton, and Gatwick, and inter-city services to Leicester, Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield. The M1 Motorway passes through the West of the Town, providing access to the Town via junctions 10 & 11, junction 10 is situated to the South of Luton providing access to the South and the M25 Motorway with access to Luton International Airport. Junction 11 provides access to the North of Luton and the Midlands. Within the town Luton has an extensive bus service providing access to most areas within the town.

EDUCATION

Luton provides excellent education facilities for people of all ages, there are a number of Nursery, primary, and secondary Schools within easy access to most areas. The University of Luton accompanied by the Sixth form and Barnfield collage, provide postgraduate and vocational learning. There are a number of business and career opportunities with many leading Companies choosing the area as their main base of operations.


SHOPPING

The town has extensive shopping facilities including The Arndale Centre one of the UK's largest indoor shopping complexes. The town also has a vast mix of cultural shops providing food clothing and much more to all cultures

ENTERTAIMENT

Luton offers a mix of entertainment catering for all ages live theatre, and a multi-screen complex entertainment centre. Luton has an extensive selection of traditional and ethnic restaurants, lively pubs, and cool night clubs; there's always something to do in the evenings.

SPORTS


Luton has a number of spots and leisure centres throughout the area offering a wide variation of sports facilities. The Town has two main golf courses the council run Stockwood Park a public pay and play parkland course, with a two story club house with bar and restaurants facilities and floodlit driving range. The privately run South Beds Golf Club is set among the picturesque setting of Warden Hills off of the A6.
